T C a r t t h m t E i m e t q m t m i k s W v g s a n today’s economy, employers are looking to maximize efficiency and employees are doing everything hey can to demonstrate their value. hese complementary interests crete the fertile ground from which sucessful mentoring, whether an orgaizational program or an individual elationship, can grow. Those individals who take greater personal reponsibility for their career developent are the most likely to benefit rom the guidance of a mentor, and rganizations looking to identify and etain their most valuable contribuors stand to gain by providing the pportunity for mentoring relationhips to flourish. In a field as diverse s dietetics, finding a mentor who unerstands your particular profesional interests and career goals ould be the key ingredient in your areer advancement. But before you an go about finding a mentor, it’s ssential to understand exactly what mentor does, and how both mentor nd mentee can contribute to a sucessful mentoring relationship.
